Hydrant Flushing

Hydrant flushing will start on September 10 and continue for the next 4 weeks. During this time, you may notice a temporary small drop in water pressure, which is normal. Water pressure will return to normal as the crew makes their way down the street. If you experience any discoloration in the water, turn on a cold-water faucet and allow the water to run for a few minutes and the water should clear up; an outside faucet or a bathtub works the fastest.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; it is necessary to make sure fire hydrants are kept in working order and for us to continue to provide the best water quality throughout the system.

Week 1: crew will start at Broad St. and Manitowoc St., working their way southwest.

Week 2: crew will start at Broad St. and Manitowoc St., working their way northwest.

Week 3 & 4: crew will start at Broad St. and Manitowoc St., working their way northeast.
