Menasha Utilities is committed to being an environmentally responsible utility. We are dedicated to improving global and local quality of life through active environmental stewardship. This is the higher calling of public power - the seamless connection between providing a public service and making the community a better place to live and work.
Public power utilities have demonstrated a strong, long-standing commitment to environmental protection. We are committed to minimizing the impact of our business on the environment with technologies and processes that are socially responsible, scientifically based and economically sound.
We will continue to build constructive partnerships with the federal administration, the state regulatory commission, organizations that promote environmental protection and most importantly, the community that we serve.
We believe in maintaining community, preserving environment, improving quality of life and protecting physical and human resources. Our environmental commitment links a healthy environment, energy efficiency and public safety. We encourage conservation, recycling and energy efficiency programs that promote clean air and water and reduce landfill waste.
Menasha Utilities Named 2024 Tree Line USA by Arbor Day Foundation
The Arbor Day Foundation has named Menasha Utilities a 2024 Tree Line USA in honor of its commitment to proper tree pruning, planting and care in the provider's service area.
Tree Line USA, a partnership between the Foundation and the National Association of State Foresters, recognizes public and private utilities for pursuing practices that protect and enhance America's urban trees. Tree Line USA promotes the dual goals of delivering safe and reliable electricity while maintaining healthy community forests.
Menasha Utilities achieved Tree Line USA by meeting five program standards. Utilities must follow industry standards for quality tree care; provide annual worker training in best tree-care practices; sponsor a tree-planting and public education program; maintain a tree-based energy conservation program; and participate in an Arbor Day celebration.
